What do you do at Gayton?

I partner with families to raise disciples who passionately follow Jesus.

When did you first come to Gayton and/or when did you join the staff?

I started coming to GBC in 2011 with my family; My in-laws are founding members of the church. I joined the staff in 2019.

Where were you before coming to Gayton? 

I am originally from the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. I received my bacheors and masters degrees at the University of Virginia and I taught in Hanover County Public Schools for 14 years. 

Tell us a little about your family and/or pets.

My husband Jamie and I have been married since 2005 and we have two children, Caroline, a student at William and Mary and an instrumentalist (violin, piano, and guitar) and a vocalist and Camden, a student at Patrick Henry High School where he plays lacrosse. We also have a dog, Luna.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at Gayton?

I enjoy walking in nature, reading, and volunteering.

What is one of your favorite things? 

Chicken nachos!

What is your favorite Scripture verse or passage?

My daughter Caroline and I share a "life verse": Jeremiah 29:11. I also lean on Philippians 4: 6-7. My son Camden's favorite verse is: Joshua 1:9.
