My wife, Deanna, and I first visited Gayton at the end of the Pandemic as things returned to normal and became members several months later. I joined the staff in September 2026.
Where were you before cominng to Gayton?
I worked with a home medical equipment company for most of my career and retired in 2025.
Tell us a little about your family and/or pets.
My wife, Deanna, and I raised our family in Richmond. The Lord has blessed our three amazing sons and daughters-in-law with six handsome and beautiful children with a couple more on the way. Deanna and I are blessed and thankful for our family.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at Gayton?
I enjoy being with my wife and family as often as I can and want to be involved with them and help them in any way possible.
What is one of your favorite things?
I enjoy learning and trying new things and want to stay active.
What is your favorite Scripture verse or passage, and why?
One verse that is significant to me is Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith - and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God."
I was raised in a church that taught us we had to do certain things and live a certain way to please God and be a Christian. The Lord used this and many other verses to help me realize that Jesus’ death on the cross was the only way I could have a relationship with God and be able to spend eternity with Him.
