Through Spirit of Baseball, we reach out to kids from the inner city and from the Tuckahoe area and provide instruction on baseball fundamentals while introducing them to Christ's unconditional love.
2026 Spirit of Baseball Camp
The RVA Spirit of Baseball Camp is back—and GBC volunteers are needed to make it a great day for kids in our community!
Join us for the 13th Annual RVA Spirit of Baseball Camp on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Oak Avenue Complex (15 S. Oak Avenue, Highland Springs). This fun, one-day camp introduces children to the fundamentals of baseball while building confidence, teamwork, and character and also sharing the gospel of Jesus.
We are looking for volunteers to serve in several important roles, including:
- Coaching a specific baseball skill station
- Serving as a team manager to guide an age-based group of children through the stations
- Preparing and serving lunch
- Registering children and volunteers upon arrival
Gayton Baptist Church is proud to be one of the Spirit of Baseball community partners, and we encourage our church family to consider serving in this impactful outreach.
