My heart is to meet people where they are -- to love and encourage them towards a redeeming relationship and abundant life with God through a deeper understanding of the person and work of Jesus Christ. I am passionate about creating space for others to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Richmond represents so many sacred moments of my life. I was born here. I attended the University of Richmond (Go Spiders!) where I met my wife, Annie. My first ministry position was at Tabernacle Baptist Church in the Fan, and it was there that I was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in November of 1999. Our first home was in Lakeside. Both of my children were born in Richmond, and I am thrilled to add Gayton Baptist Church to my RVA life, ministry, and story.

I earned my Master of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, and have also done continuing education work in the areas of Critical Incident Stress Management, Mental Health, Rural Ministry, and Law Enforcement Chaplaincy.

My current goal is to finish section hiking the Appalachian Trail. You may find me outdoors in local parks hiking, biking, fishing, and playing disc golf.

My wife, Annie, is an amazing and godly woman. She has a Master's in Public Health from MCV. Annie loves gardening, Bible study, and working to raise up the next children of generation. Our children, Nathan (Bluefield College), and Mary (Old Dominion University) are both students.
