Hillary

I began serving as a volunteer leader in Gayton Kids Ministry in 2014 and joined the Kids Min staff in 2019. I was appointed the Kids Pastor in 2021.

I grew up in the Greater Cincinnati area/ Northern Kentucky and moved to Charlottesville in 2001 to attend UVA (Go HOOS!).

Previously, I served as an elementary educator (special education and literacy specialist) for 14 years in Hanover County, where I reside with my husband, Jamie, our two children, Caroline & Camden, and our border beagle, Luna.

I have a master's degree in education and a bachelor's degree in religious studies & foreign affairs, both from UVA. When I am not at GBC, I enjoy listening to our daughter play her violin with the William & Mary Symphony, watching our son play lacrosse, traveling, reading, volunteering, and cheering on the Reds & the Bengals.
