Baking Blitz

How to Participate:

1. Bake one or more batches of cookies, brownies or treats! Put in a sealed disposable container.

2. Label with what they are and basic ingredients.

3. Bring to Gayton’s small kitchen on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 10:00 AM.

4. Volunteers will be delivering these to businesses after church to share with their employees.

Each container will be labeled with an encouragement and invitation to our Neighbor Day, as well as information on our fall activities.

5. Our goal is to collect at least 75 containers of treats to share with local businesses in our community to share love and kindness to our neighbors!

FREE Lemonade Stands

Volunteers will make/provide lemonade and cups, and set up and run their own free lemonade stand in their neighborhood. They will hand out an encouragement and invitation card, as well as info about our fall activities.

5:16 PM: Dinner & Fellowship Time

Kickoff Dinner

  • Date: Wednesday, September 9
  • Time: 5:16 PM
  • Location: Gayton Church Gym
  • Menu: Pizza provided by the church!

Beginning September 16

We're inviting Sunday School classes, small groups, families, couples, and other ministries to sign up to provide one weekly meal for our church family.

  • Each week will feature a different menu.
  • Be creative and make the evening uniquely your own!
  • Providing a meal is a wonderful way to serve, build relationships, and create a welcoming environment where our church family can connect and grow together.

Note: A voluntary donation basket will be available each week to help offset meal expenses.

We hope you'll join us around the table as we share a meal, strengthen our community, and make the most of every opportunity to encourage one another!

Evening Bible Study Time

Following our 5:16 Fellowship Dinner, we'll break into a Bible study/small group time. We have something for everyone, including Kids (birth-5th grade) and for adult and youth. Adults and Youth can choose from classes focused on Moms, Men, Prayer, the Gospel of John, Nehemiah, and Mental Health.

Young adults are invited to stay afterward for Afterglow Fellowship with Rev. Jennifer Mullins. Whether you're new or have been attending for years, we hope you'll join us for an evening of food, fellowship, and spiritual growth!
